Infomercial Videos: Types and Their Description

Infomercial video is a technique to promote that product that a person just knows in his/her heart is a winner. Another expression which is used for infomercials is Direct Response Television or also called DRTV. In Direct Response Television, there is a call -to-action with the help of a telephone number which invites the customer to call and place an order.

There are 2 major types of infomercials.

1) The long form infomercial is approximately twenty to thirty minutes in length. The customer will have to pay money for thirty minute airing slots. In long form infomercial, the cost of the product or merchandise is usually higher and as a consequence it is a bit harder to sell the product.

2) The most widespread infomercial is known as the short form which is about hundred and twenty seconds long. It is usually a bit easier to sell the product as the price of the product hovers around twenty dollars and less. If the price of the product is higher, a divided compensation offer is generally presented to the purchaser for example “3 easy payments”. This, in according to the consumer, is easier to handle than 1 single large expense.
